Rev'd Geoff Cornell
It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the sudden death of the Rev'd Geoff Cornell, Superintendent of the Enfield Circuit and a friend and colleague of many in the District and beyond.

Geoff had a great gift of ministry, of thoughtful preaching, of pastoral care, of creative expression of his faith and of careful administration and he will be deeply mourned and greatly missed.

Saturday 29th November at 14.00
Service to celebrate Geoff's life.

Night shelter:
It has become clear that the night shelter will not go ahead this winter, due to circumstances outside the circuit's control. This means that the training booked for the 6th Dec is cancelled. Any money raised within the circuit will be held in a circuit fund for a future project. We hope that early in the New Year we will be able to work with other interested people to start this project the following winter 2015-16. Please send any completed volunteer forms to the circuit office; we will ensure that those people are kept informed of what is happening.
Thank you all for your commitment and enthusiasm for this project so far, at what has been a very difficult time.
This notice overrides any contrary information elsewhere on the site

Wesley's Chapel, John Wesley's House and the Museum of Methodism are open every weekday from 1000-1600
(Last tour of house 15.30)
People come from all over the country and all over the world to visit.
Has your Enfield Circuit Club or Fellowship enjoyed an outing and guided tour there recently? For a donation of £3-5 per person, the Stewards will take you round the site and even lay on tea at the end of your visit if requested in advance.

Northern Line south from King's Cross to Old Street (subway 2) and a very short walk to the Chapel. Ring and check if making a special journey, as circumstances  (a special service, or a lack of volunteer staff) occasionally make full tours impossible.

Rooms are available for you to hold an away-day meeting of your own, combined with a visit to these historic sites.

Call Christian on 020 7253 2262 to discuss your requirements www.wesleyschapel.org.uk

New Heritage Stewards are always welcome. Volunteer and train to show the new Museum, the Chapel and John Wesley's Georgian House to the many visitors from home and abroad.

If you would prefer to volunteer to staff the Museum shop, and have experience of using a till and credit card processor, you would be most welcome. It can be quiet, with very busy rushes when tours come in, but some guides dislike taking money and would be most grateful to have a cashier available.

Contact Christian, Curator at Wesley's Chapel and Museum 020 7253 2262 to find out more.
